Default Problem with the MOSER 12

I have everything installed in my new 12-bolt moser setup. The car is not driveable because of a huge clunking noise the car makes in forward and reverse. The noise seems to be coming from just behind the center console (probably the end of trans/ beggining of driveshaft). I used my stock driveshaft with the conversion U-Joint, is it possible that the driveshaft is too long and there is no endplay? Any help and ideas appreciated.

yes it is very posible because that happened to me also

jack the car up by the rear and look for yourself

you need to cut and inch off the shaft when you have the billet 1350 yoke on the moser...do you?

if so dont drive it or you will mess shiz up
bring it to a shop and tell them to hack an inch off and you will be all good

Yeah, im opted for the 1350 yoke. I had a recommendation to take just a 1/4" off or so.

I am going to measure the difference between the stock 10 bolt and the moser 12 and have that exact amount hacked off

I got the driveshaft shortened and there is still vibration where the middle of my DS is hitting the tunnel. I dont have a torque arm in right now (long story but getting a spohn adj on friday) so the yoke of my rear axle is pointing upwards. Probably because of this, 3" of the driveshaft's slip yoke on the trans end is sticking out. is my problem having no torque arm or the driveshaft too short now??

I was driving it or racing it, just testing it. Would the torque arm make the slip yoke go more in the trans?

I would not drive the car even a few feet without the torque arm....the entire rear suspension geometry is governed with the torque arm. You are liable to tear up the trans, driveshaft, and axle without it.

Park the car. Period. Without a TQ arm the rear is being alowed to pitch any amount that it wants to. your probably binding the U joint because of it. I say again. park the car.

One time my buddy broke his torque arm mount. He was able to lay wheels for city blocks. Needless to say, he went to jail and is still there since the summer of '01. Turned out he hit a squirrel, cops pull him over and charge him with hit and run
