strange 9" or 12 bolt differences in weight and power to run!?!

ok i have the money to pick up a rear from stange....what is weight between the 9 and 12 and how much more power does a 9 take then a 12??!?! thanks also who has the best prices?!?

i've been told that a 9 inch is about 30 lbs heavier than a 12 bolt.
