Default pulling like and ape on the shifter to get in gear!!!

ok i am having a problem with my t/a all of a sudden today, i have to pull like a gorilla to up shift and downshift the gears on my car, it just started. but when i have the car off it seems to go through the gears fine??? i mean when i am driving i really have to push them into gear HARD! sometimes bringing them forward and pulling back on em like i was powershifting or something. thanks for the help.

change the fluid. if that doesnt cure it then your clutch is not releasing all the way. since you said it just suddenly started doing it i would lean towards it being burnt up fluid

I'm sure no expert on M6's, but does that at all sound like a bent shift fork?

I thought I read a thread somewhere with a problem like you describe and it was the fork that was bent.

Just an A4 drivers $.02...

bent shift fork would only affect one or two gears depending how its bent, and usually wont make it alot harder to pull/push into gear, but rather make it so that the gear isnt fully engaged when the shifter is places in the position for that gear
