Automatic Tranny Experts inside please..... Alright, either my tranny is in need of a rebuild or something else. Here is the problem....
My 1-2 shift slips sometimes. It RPMs will just sit around the 1600 and then it'll go onto around 2000 and shift to second. During WOT it will sit around 5800 and then hit about 6100 or so and go into second. I do not think it is a clogged filter or fluid problem because all the other shifts are normal, it is just the 1-2 shifts. The car is a 98 and has 45,000 miles on it. Any ideas?

Re: Automatic Tranny Experts inside please..... I would check the fluid levels. I find that it feels like it's 'slipping' when it's low. It'll hesitate going into gears too.
