Default ET Drags question

Ok I just stepped up to drags from streets soI have a few questions.

1. What tire pressure do you run at the track and street?

2. How long of a burn out is nessesary(at a good track(hrp))?

I run drags as well. The tire pressure should not be too much different from your streets but it all depends on track conditions and weather. I normally run 16psi in the drivers side and 15psi in passenger side(helps prevent one leg burnouts). You should always run as much pressure as possible with out losing traction. Now for the burn out...I have an A4 so I set the brake and hammer it...I let it tach through first and all the way up to 5800-6000rpms in second then(I have to hold it sometimes to get the desired amount of smoke) I release the brake and slowly let out of the throttle. If I don't see smoke in both mirrors I hold it in second until I do. Good luck. <img src="graemlins/burnout.gif" border="0" alt="[Burnout]" />
