can someone please explain the pros and cons and intended uses for all types of posi's (like whats best for drag racing or road racing). for example the detroit locker, eatons and auborns design, and spyder gears, etc. thanks very much. <img src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" border="0">

I'll chime in with what I know, not that I know that much :

The Eaton posi is a true "positrac" system, always turning both rear wheels at equal speeds.

The Torsen uses a torque sensing differential - when one wheel turns at 70%, the other wheel turns at 30%. Not true equal distribution of power. The Torsen uses internal spider gears.

The GM stock Auburn rear uses a clutch/disc system and is (from what I understand) the weakest of the three.
