Default Trans Flush?

I was told to flush out my A4 every 14,000 miles. What all goes into that & how do they do it? What all needs to be done etc? Also how often should the trans filter be changed. The place that does trans flushes out here doesn't change the filter when they do it.

Default Re: Trans Flush?

I had my transmission flushed about a month ago and I must say it made a lot of difference. When they flushed my tranny they did replace the filter and all the fluid, it cost about a hundred bucks. After having it done, my shifts have become crisper, and my gas mileage has actually gone up quite a bit. My car had 39000 when I had it done, and the guy who did it recommended it be done every 15-20k miles. The mechanic is a family friend and an all around good guy, so I trust his recommendation. Hope this helps.
