if you are an auto you are probably 2.73
if you are an 6sp you are probably 3.42
SS and WS.6 come with 3.23
You can special order ur car new with 3.23
If your car is used the pre. owner may of changed the gears.

You need to be careful with Predator and gear changes. I went from 2.73 to 3.42 and had to disregard their gear settings and use www.runninwiththedevil.com/faq.htm to change them. A4's came with either 2.73 (GU2) or 3.23 (GU5) RPO codes on the driver's side door. I have a RWTD custom tune but didn't have them change the gears. To see what's going on you may need to get someone next to you on the highway, go a steady 70 MPH and check your RPM's against the calculator at www.f-body.org/gears/ that's what I used to make sure the gear change took effect.

Thanks a lot for the info! I checked the drivers side door and tada GU5 3.23 it is. Hey 2001 NBMZ28 how do you like your converter for the street? I would like to get one but want to get more of an opinion first. How does it do in the florida heat since your in j-ville and i am in st. aug there shouldn't be a difference in heat.

The Vig is the best mod I've done - don't have a trans temp gauge but haven't had any issues - just run an auxilary cooler and you'll be fine.
