Need a quick answer about brake caliper bracket bolts!

Need a quick answer about brake caliper bracket bolts! I'm working on my '99 Regal. The brake caliper bracket bolts are supposed to be replaced anytime they're removed according to my shop manual. NOBODY has them around here so that leads me to believe that nobody is replacing them. The brackets need to come off to remove the rotors. Should they really be replaced or just put them back with red loctite?
BTW, there's evidence on them of being wrenched on last time the dealer turned the rotors. They didn't replace them it appears. I'd really like to get this thing together today! Thanks for a quick answer! <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: Need a quick answer about brake caliper bracket bolts! I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've taken mine off-and-on 2 seperate times since I got the car. I've seen put at least 10k on the car with no ill effects. Just make sure you use the loctite. Don't want to lose a caliper, could be detrimental to your stopping abilities <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

Re: Need a quick answer about brake caliper bracket bolts! Yeah, I went ahead and put it together with the old bolts. I cleaned the threads and used red loctite.
I'm not sure why the shop manual says to replace them. I checked with a few dealers in the area and no one had the bolts in stock.

Re: Need a quick answer about brake caliper bracket bolts! Before I installed a Baer front kit, I had the brackets off a couple times. I always used the original bolts, and they are what's holding the Baer bracket now. Don't know about the LockTite red though, I used blue.

Re: Need a quick answer about brake caliper bracket bolts! I didn`t use locktite and lost one of the bolts on the highway 45 min away from home...that was fun....definately use loctite <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
