Does lowering only 1" change suspension geometry?

Does lowering only 1" change suspension geometry? I`m thinking of lowering my Z (just don`t like that "high rider" look) and was wondering about the affects it my have on the suspension geometry and front end alignment? I`ve seen the LCA relocating brackets and adjustable panhard rods advertized for lowered cars, but I`m only going to go down an inch or inch and a half at most and don`t know if I would need them. This is really just for appearence as my main concern with this car is 1/4 mile times,(yes,I am aware of the weight transfer issue) not handling on a road coarse. Anyone out there done a inch or inch and a half drop WITHOUT LCA relocate.`s or adj. panhard rod and run into problems? Also, LT headers and a y-pipe are in the cars future. Would that little drop make for clearence problems with those? Thanks in advance for any help!

Re: Does lowering only 1" change suspension geometry? Any lowering of the car requires for best traction an adjustable panhard rod & LCA relocation brackets. You don't have to have them but if you want the best traction possible you'll need them. As far as the headers, just get FLP's & you'll be fine with a lowered car. <img src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" border="0">
