Default powern trax diff

what do you think of the powertrax locker style diff. I'm talking about the one they have that goes inside your original diff case. the clutches in my diff are worn out and I thought i might buy one of these since I could install it without having to remove the entire diff(won't have to mess with setting the backlash on gears). so I wouldn't have to pay to have it installed. has anybody here used one my main concern is, is it strong enough. the car is a 6spd(stock 3.42's still)with lightly ported heads/good size cam and all bolt ons. It spins thru 3rd as a onelegger,so I badly need it putting the power to both tires, but I don't want to buy this and it break in a week.

Do they make one that will fit a 7.5" 10 bolt? I had one in my old chevelle and sometimes in parking lots it would make some noise. Sounded like a horse was following me. It almost acted like a locker. I never broke it though. My .02

jegs has one listed for a 7.5 10 bolt with the right spline count to. also they have the one listed for fords there is one for posi cars and one for a that fits cars with original open diffs. but for the 10 bolt all they have is open I guess it fits both open or limited slip diff cases. anybody know

I may have to get one as well when my current torsen blows up. Since SLP no longer sells the take-off torsens. I don't see how it could fit in a torsen carrier. I attempted to take my last one apart and it wasn't happening. I guess if you had an auburn carrier it might. I have never seen an Auburn carrier so I don't know if you can disassemble them or not.
