Do I have the wrong gears?
I bought a new set of Zoom gears on ebay that was advertised for a GM LS1 10 bolt rear end. When I got them it said on the box:
Zoom 4.11
GM 10 bolt rear end 8.2
37 tooth ring gear
9 tooth pinion gear
I know that the 8.2 and the 7.5/7.65 rear ends are different but I thought maybe they were in a different box. When I measure the ring gear with the teeth out it comes to 8 1/8" which is very close to 8.2. But when I measure them on the back side that bolts to the differential they measure 7.5". Which is the correct measurement to go by?

You bought the wrong gears.... One of the problem with internet only sales.....
If you'd like a correct set of gears, we have them from a number of companies....
