Rear End questions
Rear End questions I have a 2000 ss, my issue is with the damn warranty company, i was told by my dealer that there is no way to overhaul a 10 bolt without getting new ring and pinion, carrier bearings,zexal torsen and so on. They got a list of parts that were about 1100, so then they call the warranty company to see about that, they dont want to cover it because they say there could actually be nothing wrong and they want it overhauled. It doesnt posi up turning, 40% of time it doesnt going straight anymore, i can tell its getting worse. also the pinion seal is leaking. Well they want me to take it to a shop that can take it apart and see whats wrong. Well i went to 3 dealerships and they all said u cant just overhaul it and just make it stock, either there are worse or better parts in it. Well i dont know where to go from here. I feel like there trying to get out of paying for something that is covered and im getting angry now.

Let the dealership deal with the warranty co. They should cover it. My 98 rear end was covered under warranty, but they wanted it looked at first. The warranty co usually just goes by what the dealership says.
