Re: Gear Break-In: Do about 2-3 good heat cycles and 500 miles of break in, trust me its worth it, there will be no whine if you do it right, its better than beating on them from the start and living with a whine for the rest of the time..... <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0">

so far nice & quiet! <img src="gr_stretch.gif" border="0"> I've kept the rev's under 3500 so far, 95% of the time in the 1500 - 2500 range. Another 100 miles or so & then I'll see how it feels! <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0"> The real test will come after afew launches at strip. <img src="graemlins/camaro.gif" border="0" alt="[Chevrolet]" />

Re: Gear Break-In: interesting i was told by a shop that u could romp on the car as soon as u got the gears and that they dont need a break in period. hm, the shop that put my gears in is a very well know shop in the houston area. i havent had a problem w/ noise or anything and this is stayin above 5k rpms the whole way home <img src="gr_grin.gif" border="0">
