A4 gear selection help in race application
A4 gear selection help in race application Okay guys I am looking for a way to get a little more out of my combo on motor before spraying the unit and need some information on gear selection and such.
Here is the run down
1.595 60 foot with stock suspension and torque arm
11.32 1/4
a4 4000 stall vig converter
I am running a 28x10.5 et drag on the car and it is equiped with 3.42 gears (had them laying around), What I am wondering is if there will be anything to be gained by changing to a 3.73 or 4.10 gear with the current tire combo or if going to a 26 inch tall tire might net somthing. my goal is to get a 10.99 before cracking open the bottle on this beast and have a far way to go with the current time.
