Default I bit the bullet

Ordered a new yank pt4400 stall today. They told me I should have it by early next week. Hopefully I can get it installed for some TNT next Saturday.

So who wants to buy a slightly used ST3800 for $650?

I have the TCOM system, so I will set the converter to be locked most of the time. I don't think it will be that bad around town. I'm hoping it will give me the power to get my 60' times from the 1.60 range to 1.50. That should be worth 1.5ths!

What do you mean by most of the time, if it is more than in 3rd and 4th it will wear the TC way sooner than needed. Locking in 4th over 45-50 is a good idea and will drive stock until you lay into it.
But locking it in the lower gears is not good, and especially at WOT.

Just wondering.

I just leave it locked for any speed over 35mph. It manages locking/unlocking during shifts and such. Works well for me.

RE: the new motor, I'm not sure yet. Trying to run 10s on the stock shortblock is kinda fun for now.
