Another Poly Tranny Mount Question
We left out the preload plate and shaved off the 'nubbies' and it vibrates from about 1800 to 2300 RPM.
I have been told it should not make that much of a difference.
Any thoughts about it being too tight?
Thanks guys!
Why did you leave out the preload plate and shave off the bumps? It specifically says in the instructions to install it that the preload plate must be installed? That could be the problem.

Actually this is very common. It has been found that by removing the preload plate and shaving off the bumps you reduce interior vibrations. After having mine in for a while this was done to it and it made a big difference!
Now to the original question, if you can I would losen the nuts and torque them down properly, the shop may have compressed the poly mount depending on just how strong of an impact wrench they used.
Exactly. I read this during a search about the mounts and that is why I did it. I can't imagine the vibration if I had not...according to the other posts about it.
I will have them tq them properly, but they don't think it is a big deal. Just wondering.....

I will figure it out.... I WILL !
