Please - some quick help...

I blew the rear in my car and am currently searching for a stock rear...
I found a few for $300 used so I just need to know the following things...
My car is a 1998 M6 Camaro Z28 with traction control - I want to know if there are any rears that won't work?
Like I found one out of a 2001 WS6 (not sure if it's auto or manual - does it matter?) - will it fit?

What WILL fit?

You need one from another car with traction control - if it doesn't have traction control your ABS will not work. You also want to get one with 3.42 gears (M6 cars) or your car will perform worse and the speedo will be off. Finally, you should look for one from a 98 or newer car so that the ebrake hardware and brake lines hook up easily.

So this one out of the 2001 has traction control... and has stock gearing.
So it should work then? whether its from an auto or manual trans car?

If it is stock geared from an auto it has 3.23's, not 3.42's. So your speedo will be off and the performance will be worse.

but it'll still work .... just the car will be SLOWER (doh!)
