Are you using a tranny jack? I fill minie while it is on the jack before I raise it into position. If you are just working on the clutch there is no need to drain the tranny, just keep it fairly level and it will not leak.

You can either fill it before you re-install it, or try the pump thing......

The easiest way prolly for you to do it, would be to fill it through where the shifter mounts when you are done installing the tranny.

Just pour 4 quarts straight into where the shifter would mount and then bolt your shifter up and call it a day

I filled it through the shifter mount. I left the hole in the side open until trans fluid started dumping out of the side of the thing, put the plug in, and called it good. Worked great.

-Andrew (remember to use a pan underneath if using this method, tho - I didn't )

You know, I was thinking same thing.. I was going to replace the fluid in my tranny, then noticed the fill hole was in an awkward place. I'm gonna get one of those hand pump things to pump new fluid in. Someone on another site used a squeezable shampoo bottle and some tubing.

I wish I had a trans jack...I spilled a lot when taking the trans out....SO I can just pour it into the shifter part huh..thats awesome. The fluid just runs down and doesn't get stuck in the mounting area....I will give that method a try for that would be easy as hell.. Thanks for the help...Michael
