any issues with shift kits

any issues with shift kits im planning on putting in a shift kit (transgo) with the converter....any one have any opinions of this? or any recommendations? i have heard that it might drop line pressure...but that doesnt make sense to me as i thought they were supposed to increase line pressure which allows for the harder and shorter periods of shifts. thanks for any input/opinions.
Re: any issues with shift kits Shift kits will tend to raise line pressure, which can be a good thing as long as you're not also raising it electronically. Do both and you have a good chance of blowing out a seal or front pump.

Re: any issues with shift kits Son and I installed it ourselves (very carefully and with lots of prep). No issues. Love it.
BTW, I really like the way the TransGo kit modifies the lockup clutch engagement. Very positive. Eliminated even the few codes I would get.
Installing PT4000 this weekend (up from Y3200). We'll see how that changes things.
