Hidden shift mode in the PCM?
We have OBD-II and this works. I did it on my old Z28. And my new Yukon has a tow/haual mode, so is this a feature that is built into the PCM?

I work at a Chevy dealership and asked some of the service guys if they thought this would work. The general consinsus is that the A4's PCM as hooked up to the LS1 does NOT have the nessisary performance shifting sub routine to simply add the switch. You would have to have the PCM reprogramed and then add the factory switch. I think you would be better off to spend your time and money on an aftermarket kit like the B & M, HPP3 or TransGo
Being a Beta tester of LS1 Edit in Australia has allowed me to totally change shift parameters for both modes. I can therefore setup my power mode for track work and economy mode for street use.
This mode is switchable via a console mounted switch fitted to all A4 cars as a standard feature.
<strong>The Australian PCM's have two different shift modes in the PCM. One in Power, the other in Economy. Both also have different TCC lockup points as well.
