TC always sets a PCM code?
But he says any aftermarket TC will set a code in the PCM that a service tech will see if car is in for warranty work. Even on his stealth model.
I've only heard of codes from TC's over 3ooo.
Anyone know if this is true?
I'd like to keep my warranty, as the car just went over 2000 miles........
If you are worried about warranty, I would not go over a 3000 stall converter. It will be noticable to any mechanic who drives the car. Consider a Yank's TT2800 3.0 (2.73 gears) or Y3000 (3.23 gears) or PI 2600.
SLP also sells a 2600 that is almost impossible to detect, but it really only produces a good gain for 2.73 cars.
