Default Moser 12 bolt and torque arm bolts

I have an 02 WS6. Last night I went to take the stock 10 bolt out and put in a Moser 12 bolt. All was going well until I got to the torque arm. The bolts that went my stock rearend were just slightly too big in diameter for the 12 bolt. Is this common? What size bolts do I need and where can I get them?

I did the Moser swap in mine yesterday. The stock 10 bolt has two long bolts that go all of the way through the 10 bolt housing. The Moser uses four small bolts that should have been included with the kit. Two bolt in from the bottom and two from the top. I am not too sure of the size though. I would contact Moser and see why they did not come with the 12 bolt.

I bought my Moser used from a 96 Z, that's why I don't have the bolts. Thanks for your help though. You think I can find some bolts at a hardware store?

Sure, but make sure they're Grade 8 bolts so they dont break. And use lock-tite when you put the bolts in. I had the top 2 come out on me once and it ruined my stock torque arm, also caused me to need a tow to the local shop.

Those wont work, you need (4) 1/2"-13 Grade 8 bolts, about 1 1/4" long, with a thick washer and lots of loctite......

Thats what you need. Also if I remember correctly the bolt are coarse thread not fine thread. And I got some lock washers for the bolts.

If I were you I would see if you can get ahold of aircraft grade bolts with a hole drilled through the corner of the head of the bolt for "safety wire" as these bolts have been prone to backing out of the diff even with lock washers and locktight. I safety wired mine a year ago and have had no problems since then.

Real good idea, as it would cure the problem once and for all. Bob

That is a great idea for Moser guys. Maybe even drill a hole and put a cotter pin in there.
