Syncro's... Does someone make kevlar syncro's?
I am going to drop my 6 speed T56 tranny on my 98 TA and have a shop replace the syncro's, does someone make a more durable syncro than the stock type? I was told that someone might possibly make a kevlar syncro or some alternate type of strong material. What kind of syncro can I get that is better than stock? If so where can I purchase some?
Thanks

Forgot where I read it, but a Viper aftermarket company is working on stronger C5 T56 internals. Maybe someone will chime in with all the info.

According to the shop that rebuilt my tranny, the stock syncros in our version of the T56 are kevlar. I had the tech do some research and he found that their are upgraded (optional) syncros that will fit. These syncros are triple cone, carbon fiber faced kevlar. That's what I've got in mine now. They're good, but expensive.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />
