Trans Not Shifting on 1-2 :(

Trans Not Shifting on 1-2 :( This problem has been around since I got my 3.73's installed last September. With my stock 2.73's, I had no problems at all.
So anyways, the transmission shifts fine when I am at WOT on the 1-2. No problems at all. But when I gradually go to WOT, when I am not quite at WOT, the trans will bounce off the rev limiter until I let off the gas.
With my hypertech, the shift point is set at 5700rpm (+0) and the rev limiter is at 5800rpm. I am just confused as to why it only happens when I am not quite at WOT.
The trans fluid was just flushed and filled by a good GM F-body tech.
