Knock Sensor and U-Joint??
I had the car Dyno'd last weekend, and the first run (can't remember the torque, sheet's in the car) was around 278 HP or so, with what looked like heavy detonation. We then let the car cool for about 10 minutes. Then the second run was about 297 HP, and was smooth as glass! I was stoked, as this was stock airbox, paper filter, and all! We let it cool for about 10 minutes again, and then ran it a third time. It looked the same as the first, about 279 or so with detonation. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Sad]" src="gr_sad.gif" />
My car is a stock 1998 T/A Convertible with 2.73 gears, a vig 3000 converter, and a flowmaster cat-back.
I seem to have a bad driveline vibration at speed, so I'm guessing that the u-joint is bad. Could that set off the knock sensor and cause what looked like detonation on the dyno?? With those 2.73's I know that the mph on the Dyno was getting up there!
