Default BIG PROBLEMS WITH SUSPENSION GEOMETRY--->HELP!!!!

I just installed a MOSER 12-Bolt.Everything went in perfectly. The rear doesnt leak and is very quiet.

Well I went to put my 28X9 slicks on the car and checked the driver side first. The tire went on with no problem other than being close to the lower edge of the rear panel down by the front part of the 1/4 panel.I hammered it until I had a 1in clearance.

Okay so I took the wheel off and put it on the passenger side and it HIT in the same spot but worse like it was really rubbing. So I hammered the lower area away but its still hitting the lower part of the 1/4 panel. Its like my rear is in crook-ed?Could MOSER of welded the control arm mounts on the rear in the wrong place? Is this possible. It looks like threar needs to move back an in on the pass. side?

I ordered adj control arms to correct this but I cant adjust one arm shorter than the other so the tire clears the lower edge of the whell on one side? The car wont track straight?I'm stumped?I dont know what to do.I hope I dont have to take the rear apart and reweld the passenger side control arm mounts on again?

Where do I start as far a measuring the setup
Could it be my unbody being off this much?
I hope not?

I need to hear from some drag racers here who set suspesions up.Guys that really look into setting the cars up properly and straight.I want my car to track true and I'm trying to set the car up for safe racing.

MADMAN ,JAY,COLONEL,BEASST,FIREBALL or anyone else that has had this problem could u give me some advice?

JS I'm no expert but I know what you're going through. My rear end geometry got all screwed up ever since I put in LCA relocation brackets. I had to pry the rear end too far foward to get the control arm to line up with the hole in the bracket, and it caused the whole rear end to bind up. It wasn't even driveable. We ended up drilling our own holes in the brackets just to get the control arm where it should be and the rear moved back enough. I've since installed LG Motorsport adjustable control arms and that allowed me to adjust the rear even more. My rear is still sitting more forward than it was stock, but i don't feel comfortable extending the heim joint any more than it is. I even got a shorter driveshaft to make up for this. The adjustable LCAs should help on your car, but maybe you also need to adjust the panhard rod to push out the wheel a little more on the passenger side?

Been there, done that...your rear is not centered. I had to add an adjustable panhard bar to center my Moser. Take a string with a nut tied to the end and hold it to the center of the wheel well and let it drop though the centerline of the axle....measure the distance from the string to the center of the axle....now do the other side ....you'll be surprised at the difference in the two measurements....adjust the panhard bar until the measurements are the same...I had to use a come-a-long to pull the Moser over enough to properly align the rear....

Onfire hit it right on the head. I had the same problem and also had to buy an adjustable panhard bar.

JS...remember the rear is attached in the center via the driveshaft. As you adjust the "side-to-side", the rear actually pivots. It doesn't just move linearly (is that a word?). So if you adjust the panhard bar, the rear should pivot, not just move side-to-side.
