Need help choosing gears

Need help choosing gears I am not real knolegable when it comes to this stuff but i have a A4 vert with 2.73 (mods in sig) i want to go with a gear that will give me good acceleration but not kill my gas mileage i curently get between 17-18 mpg. i was thinking 3.42 or 3.73 whats yalls opinion and what kind of mpg i would see with each

I'm currently running 3.42's but I'm wanting to step up to 3.73's soon. The 3.42's are great for a DD because it still keeps your rpm's a little lower but overall for an A4 I'd go straight for the 3.73's. Most people I'm sure will say to go straight for the 3.73's. You won't notice much mileage difference between the two. I suppose you mean 17-18mpg between highway and city? If your looking for one particular mod for an A4 car then I'd look into a stall before gears, it'll give you more performance than the gears will. Just make sure if you go that route, to get a nice tranny cooler to keep the tranny cool. If your set on gears though, then I'd say 3.73's.
