SLP linelock problem

Default SLP linelock problem

I cant get my front brakes to hold up with this new linelock.

I put it in, pretty straight forward install.. Bled the brakes.. Wont hold, i could come out just easing the clutch out so it wasnt holding . IM gonna try loosinging the nut and gravity bleeding the master and see if i just need some more fluid in my solenoid. anyone got any ideas.

The brakes don't work? Or is it just that the linelock doesn't hold? If it is the linelock, try really pushing hard on the brake pedal, then turn on the lock. If everything is bled/installed correctly it should work. You need to push hard on the pedal or it will not be enough pressure to hold the car.

Yeah, what 99 WS6 said.

I felt the same way after installing my LL, I thought I knew what I was doing, but I could not get the brakes to hold. Then it was pointed out to me that I had to hold the brakes down hard for a couple seconds, THEN hit the LL button.

Works great now that I do know what I'm doing!

If you start to slip, pump the brakes to build pressure.

Most line locks utilize a check valve to allow you to build pressure.

ok, I'm about to rip this friggin slp line lock off the car! I have blead the master, ll solenoid, abs block(both sides) and the calipers...about three times. I have pushed and pumped the brake pedal to the point where I thought something would break before, during and after activating the ll. All this and the lock will still not hold. If anyone has any info on what I might be missing, speak up. My sanity depends on it!

Could the LL solenoid be bad????

Have someone flick the switch and you go feel the solenoid to make sure it`s clicking..

Not sure about the SLP but my Hurst works very easily: I flip the switch first... then pump the brakes to build up pressure.. release brakes..then do the burn out...then turn the switch off..

I'm having the same problem with mine I've heard something about switching the solenoid upside down and fixing the problem I'm going to try that later this week ??

Installed mine yesterday. Did not work.

Flipped it over. Works great.

Looked at the solenoid and one end is labeled mc (Master cylinder). The end with the wire connectors ended up on the top.
If you follow the directions, it will be on the wrong end. I think the instructions are hosed up.

If you are installing the SLP line lock, be aware of this issue.
