Quick Help, Stud Question I'm choppin the studs on my new 9" by about .5" so the regular lug nuts will fit, not the open ended type
The studs are 1/2 but my 1/2 Fine Thread Dye is shaving some metal off of it when i'm running it down the stud?
Are studs on a different type of thread? Or is it just b/c of rust, crud etc?
After starting the dye, you can see the shiney metal on the stud
I was just wondering if I had the right dye or if these use a different thread pattern
