Question about torque management...

Question about torque management... I know what TM is, and I think that I am experiencing it somewhat. Do the 99 A4's normally experience it? More noticeable since the install of the PT4000. I will be ordering LS1 Edit very soon, and will turn off TM, does this damage the tranny at all with TM disabled, or is it better for the tranny? TIA, Bill
Re: Question about torque management... torque management was present in 99s. It got worse in the 01s.
Reducing torque management increases the power to the tranny on the shifts, so it could have a negative effect.

Re: Question about torque management... The tranny will wear down faster than normal, but when you start to do some heavy modding you will need to rebuild it anyways... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Re: Question about torque management... Good Luck removing it with Edit. I have zero'd all TM tables and still have negative timing during shifts. There is either a bug, or something else comes into play regarding TM. I'm still waiting on a reply from Ken K on this. (See thread in Computer Tuning Forum)
