What do you guys think? Ok, my dad just called me from work and told me there is a guy there that has some 3.73 gears he is willing to give us. Now I have a couple questions about this first. First off, would they even work in the car? They came from a truck, he just got 35" tires so he got new gears to go with it and said he would give these to us now. But before I even go any further I need to find out if they are even interchangable with my car. Its a 2000 ws6. (if you need any more info to answer this just let me know and i'll try calling my dad back and see if he can find out). The guy said he thinks they will work with the car, but there is something in the back of his mind that makes him not 100% sure.
Ok, 2nd question. If they will work, should I do it? I don't know how many miles are on them, and I don't know how quickly those things wear out and how much miles matter on gears anyway. I have the stock 3.23's in it now and I don't really know what kind of difference I will see with them. Also, how much would do you think it would cost to get them put in somewhere if I took them somewhere to be installed?

Oh and it's from a Chevy Silverado that's at least as new as the car (2000), but probably newer. I don't think the guy did much of any towing with it if he's putting 35" tires on it
