Testing a speed sensor? When my 10 bolt gave out, it was the torsen that kinda let loose, the side gear that the left axle slips into. The inside of the tire was a little chewed up, as was the body of the car. The asr/abs lights were on.
I bought a 12 bolt and hooked everything up and my lights are still on. I think that it is one of the speed sensors gone bad - perhaps when the axle was banging around back there, the sensor got smacked with the reluctor ring.
Any way to test the sensor?

You can put you DVOM on AC volts and check it with HZ red lead to signal wire and the black lead to ground and rotate the rear end or drive line or wheel and get a reading and compare it to the other wheels.And to do it an easier way pull the sensor and measure the ohms across the 2 pins and i was looking through my old notes values should be around 1K-2K ohms.You can use these 2 methods if you dont have a scanner to access the ABS side of the system
