Default 10 bolt question

Is there a difference between an LS1 and a LT1 10 bolt? I was thinking of taking the 10 bolt out of my Trans am and putting it into my Z28 after I get a 12 bolt gets put in my Trans am.

The only real difference would be the chance that the newer one may have ABS/TCS. Bob

the backing plates and brake assembly will be different. All you have to do though is use the backing plates and brake assembly from the LS1 and put them on the LT1 axle. One other thing that might be a problem is.....the LT1 axle hubs are slightly larger than the LS1's. Thus you might have a problem making your wheels fit. There are 2 simple solutions to this though. 1) dremel the inside of your wheels to make them fit or...2) take the axles out of LS1 rear and put them in the LT1 rear.
