Default 9" Driveshaft ?

I am getting a 9" next week or so, but have a ? I was running a 10 bolt & have a t-400. My ? is about the length of the driveshaft on the 9" vs the 10 bolt. I know that I will have to measure it once the rear is in, but I would like to know ahead of time if I will need a shorter or longer shaft Anyways if someone could give me any info on this it would be great.

Not sure on the 400, but with my 350 and stock rear I really should have had about 1" longer, and when I went to the 9" rearend, I was even shorter. I used an LT1 steel shaft and had it lengthened 1.25", they really just cut the yokes off, welded it onto a new shaft. $116 from a local driveline shop, balanced and new U joint front and new Spicer joint in the rear.

We don't notice a need for a different length in a driveshaft when installing Moser 12 bolt and 9 inch rears. Moser designed the rear to utilize the stock length driveshaft. Bob
