any reason you went with 3.73s instead of 4.10s or higher?

the guy i talked to at moser said there is a noticable difference in gear noise between even 3.73 and 3.90....3.90 being the louder. i didnt want to go with 4.10 or higher because i drive on the highway alot and i would miss 29 mpg. pretty much just want to have a little more punch off the line and from roll on races.

Question

NICE--does the 'plain chrome cover' have a fill/drain plug..if not..maybe you should trade up.

not the plain chrome cover, they make a different cover for $135 extra with a drain plug and a girdle. but i think i would take the cover off when changing fluid to check for chunks and excessive shavings

Chrome covers are always going to leak. Chrome loves to leak even with a gasket or permatex. It just does that. It's worth it to get the "performance cover" if only because it's not chrome and you won't have to worry as much about losing fluid/checking the level every day if you're paranoid like me...

We found that we have to grind the chrome off the cover where the cover seals to the rear, to eliminate leaks. Bob

$2,235.00 is my price without the performance cover for a Moser 12 bolt with your options. What did you pay going direct through Moser? Bob

All I do is call Moser and place the order. The rear gets shipped from Moser directly to the customer. We have spent over a quarter of a million dollars with Moser, which helps if there is a warranty problem. Bob

I helped put a dent in the 1/4 million $. EPP is good to due business with, and will stand behind thier products that they sell.

If you read this Bob the SPEC 3+ is freaking awsome. absoutly no problems at all, and I drive in bumper to bumper traffic.
