True-Trac question

True-Trac question I just installed a 9" w/ true-trac a week ago and the exhaust is very close to the driveshaft, like with the rear end relaxed and the car chassis on stand i cant get the driveshaft to bolt up, have to jack up on the rear to get it to bolt up. Anyway, I am trying to figure out what this noise is. It didn't start till friday.
There is a noise kind of like a loud tapping or hitting of metal i'm trying to figure out if it's the rear end or the driveshaft hitting the exhaust. I don't see any signs of the driveshaft hitting the exhaust. It only happens at slow speed and turning left, like less then 5mph. Is the true-trac supposed to make any noise at all? If not then I know it's the exhaust and I need to get it rebent. A friend of mine has listened to a locker and seems to think that this "soft locker" is making the noise when it is engaging/disengaging as I turn.

Mine is making all kinds of noise so i am sending it back to be looked at. I have 3 different sounds coming from it. Of course gear whine, grinding at low speeds and a very loud cricket noise at higher speeds.
I could hear some type of grinding noise when I first had mine installed in my Moser 12 bolt. I wasn't sure if it was coming from the rear end, or thought it might of been the loud Walbro pump that I had installed at the same time. It went away after a couple of days, so I'm not worrying about it. If it breaks, I will just get a spool.
The gear whine i can deal with. It was the other 2 sounds it was making that concerns me. At 65mph i couldn't even hear my exhaust. It sounded like a million crickets howling all at once. I would not worry about the gear whine too much unless it is extremely loud and you cant take the noise. Mine is in a 9 inch rear. I am sending my center section back for inspection and noticed it does not look anything like the the picture on the website?????? Does the true track look different in a 9 inch and a 12 bolt???????? I have never seen a center section like the one i have??????
