Stuck in 4th

Stuck in 4th I was at the races this weekend <img border="0" alt="[Firebird]" title="" src="graemlins/formula.gif" /> . Toward the end of the night, I had done several runs. On the last run, powershifting as usual, the transmission got stuck in 4th gear <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" /> . One of the people there helped me get it out, but my question is this...how worried should I be? Can I just chalk it up to heat or should it be checked by the dealership?

Re: Stuck in 4th That happened to me once, it felt like the tranny locked up and I had to push like hell to get it back into neutral. I drove it the next day, and one by one each gear started to get stuck. I had to drive my car 45 miles in 2nd gear! haha
There are some small blocks on the sliders, and some wire C-clips and stuff. I jarred the tranny so badly that those blocks fell out and the clips came loose. The tranny had to be rebuilt, so I went ahead and put new synchros in at the same time.

Re: Stuck in 4th I drove the car today and it seems to be fine. There are no sticking gears and fourth is ok, but I think I'll take it in anyhow. If it needs to be rebuilt, do you think there'll be any warranty fights to deal with?
