Steering shaft removal Hey guys, quick question.. How to remove the steering shaft from the rack? I took the bolt out from just above where the shaft slides in to the rack, but it still doesn't seem like it wants to come out. Any ideas??

Re: Steering shaft removal You have to remove the lower bolt that you said you already took out then you have to take out the bolt where it connects to the steering column...its up by the power brake booster. You will see it, its clear as day..once you have both bolts out you have to pull up on it towards the hood and it should pop loose from the bottom, then you just slide it off the top...installation is just the oppisite..good luck.
