The extra bar above the panhard bar????

Is it purely a brace? Does it serve an engineering function? Will it hurt the car if I remove it?

It is time for some stealthy weight reduction. I dont see it serving a purpose other than extra bracing.

it is a reinforcment for the panhard rod chassis mount location. some people run without it, but if so i would weld some gussets to the mount to spread the load.. there is a lot of load at that point.

I removed it and installed a Hotchkis PHB.

I call it an obstruction <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />

The bolt's on my LPW cover where hitting.. causing be to spin. It's gone now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
