need diahgram for lu switch on a 2000 t/a
There are two wire loome connectors to the pcm one red, and one blue.
Pin number 42 of the blue connector (DK GREEN) is for the cooling fan relay. You need #42 on the red connector (TAN/BLK)
When you remove the bolt holding the connectors, and pull them off you can see the numbers on the connector..adjacent to the wire.
just locat #42 on the red connector, and verify the wire color.
To make a lockup switch you have to connect the wire to a ground via a switch.
I cut the wire, solder connected another wire to it, and selaed the connection with heat shrink, and re assmebled the pcm connectors.
In then ran the new wire into the passenger compartment through a rubber grommet that is located in the firewall behind the PCM. I ran the wire behind the dash into the console. I then installed a momentary switch in the ashtray. I connected the wire I ran into the console to one lead of the momentary switch, and then soldered another peice of wire to the other lead on the switch. I then connected thie other end of the last wire to a ground.
Now when you hold down the momentary switch it grounds the #42 (TAN/BLK) wire, and causes the converter to lockup.
