10-bolt question
I have done some research on the stock 10-bolt. I have read that the biggest number of failures is the teeth on the gears sheer off. Now, I have also seen 10-bolt rearends with Strange ProGears running with head/cam/headers running 10s with autos, high stall, high torque multiplyer torque converters and drive everyday. These cars put more torque on that stock axle that my nitrous M6. Is it because the auto have the option of a "thick" gear on the carrier 2? Can I change my carrier to fit my axle for the extra durability?

Re: 10-bolt question
Its not the carrier, its just that autos are easier on driveline parts than manuals. The torque converter provides a softer hit to the driveline parts, versus the violent jar of a high rpm clutch dump. Autos break driveline parts, but not nearly as often due to the fluid coupling the converter provides.
