Default Brake Lines for 9inch?

ok so i just got my new 9 inch from scott (driveline solutions) and the first thing that i realized that i never though about is the brake line. the stock one is all formed to fit around the 10 bolt.

my question is for you 9 inch people out there. did you buy a new line somewhere from someone....or did you just go to the auto-parts store get a long piece of line and bend it up yourself?

i've got the little brake line bender and the little press thing (technical term i know) that mushrooms out the brake line to hold the fitting on. but im not going to lie. im lazy and if i can buy one somewhere i would rather do that.

thanks again scott. i just got the rear end in tonight. well partially in. still have to finish up some of the "finishing" things.....

I didn't have a problem throwing my 9" up there, there is a bracket that mounts to the body and another bracket that used to mount to the rear that I just pushed up enough to where it wouldn't be banging around on things, I ziptied all the lines to each axle tube and ran the soft lines to the calipers around to where they wouldn't bind in the suspension movement, really didn't have to do anything with the lines...

Try to get some really thick zip ties to hold the brake lines down. You could also drill and tap a mertic hole into the the TA mount to hold the T-block.

cool thanks. i wasn't sure if the hardline would take much more bending aronud to make it fit aronud that massive center section.

it's a thing of beauty back there!

Ive had a local guy make a piece that attaches to the stock bracket. He then welded it into place. If you dont have anyone you trust to do that then follow scotts instuctions. Both will work.

Enjoy having a bomb proof rear end.

well i didn't want to try twisting the stock hardline all over the place and zip tying it to the axles. i just went to auto zone and got some new brake line and bent up 2 nice new lines that follow the contour of the 9 inch perfectly!

on a side note....why the hell does my BMR Torque Arm Mount not want to fit on the mount at all? i've been hacking and grinding the corners and everything trying to get it to fit...anyone have some ideas on getting this in?

*edit* got it on now...nothing a little angle grinder can't fix!
