Default High RPM shifts => Problem

Just fooling around a bit yesterday, and when I would get up in high RPMs I would be unable to **** into the next gear. I would depress the clutch and it was like the disk was not disengaging. I installed the Cartek set-up a bit back. Could it be a hydrallic issue or could it be another issue. Please advise..TIA Michael

Brian, Good deal...I will try to move the rod out one more turn, it is already high as hell, but its worth the shot, thanks again for the help.

Sounds like you're clutch isn't disengagiing all the way. Since you've got the Cartek kit, I'm gonna go ahead and assume that it came with the adjustable master, and if so, you just need to adjust it out one full turn. That should allow your clutch to disengage a little higher, and therefore cure your high rpm shifting problems. I have this exact same problem..I am sick of making excuses when I race friends and always can't get into third and finally usually end up in fifth.This is only a high rpm problem...so sounds like we have exact problem.The line drill mod is supposed to help this but cartech told me they have done the drill mod for last year but not sure I believe this as was pretty sure when i bought my clutch in fall last year they were saying it wasn't needed and not to bother doing it.I may have to check my line..have you checked yours..email me if you find the drill mod isn't done..when did you get your clutch.I am also thinking maybe have to move it out some more but it seems to get harder to drive in traffic when I move the engagement away from floor more.but if I can't get into my third gear at high rpm will have to move it out..I also though my clutch got weird today after driving in lots of traffic..
it seemed good this morning but later on it seemed like the engagement had changed or that it was all of a sudden more grabby mabye..do you notice this too.The other things about the high rpm thing may be shifter..I got factory hurst but might try hurst billet..and then you can look at tranny problems like bent shift fork.etc..I think the drill mod should be the first thing we try and adjusting that darn rod again..I am starting to think maybe I should have just bought a zo6 clutch but still planning heads and headers and nos 100 shot or so.Lets hope we figure out this problem...
