4.10's for a 10 bolt?

dont have the money to upgrade to a 12 bolt and i want to get a lower ET
i have an M6 daily driven and taken to the tracks on the weekends, i do not plan on using sticky tires, just street tires.
would i have to worry about breaking the rearend? and what would you guys suggest?

As a rule, the only thing that will give you a lower ET is, hp or traction. 4.10's won't give you either of them. From personal experience, I know this to be true.

Oh really? That's funny because when I put 4.10s in my car I lost three tenths in the eighth mile without changing anything else

On top of that it made for consistent low 1.9X 60's on street tires, with a best of 1.87. With stock 3.42's I had to work hard for a high 1.9.

You only stand to benefit from 4.10's provided you are a good driver.
