Default 9 inch ... getting very upset..

i have a 00 t/a. i had a very popular shop build a 9 inch for me. true trac, 31 sline moser axles.. tempken roller recessed bearings. the driver side axle leaked. i pulled it out, inspected seal and it looked fine. put in back in leaked worse.. pulled it out put new seal in, still leaks.. not as bad though. i don't know what else to do. everything is brand new.. HELP>>> i got almost 3,000.00 in this rear end.

weird...i had a little bit of oil leak out of my passanger side axle. i just drove over to scott@DLS's house and he threw in 2 new axle seals for me and i haven't had a problem since? hope you get it figured out!

Check the surface of the axle where the seal is located. Make sure it doesn't have any dings, burrs, etc. It should be a nice clean and smooth surface. Replace the seal while you're at it.

is the bearing seal still ok too? the seal seat correctly? i re-sealed mine over the winter and dont have an issue but made sure everything was peffectly seated. was it a bad leak the first time?

warped or bent axel housing will cause seals to leak try soaking new seals down with 90 weight oil before install and use 320 grit sand paper on axel lightly though to knock down rough spots or snags.

Have you contacted the shop to see if they could help you out, maybe atleast supply new seals and fluid
