Default Any regrets with gears?

I plan on ditching my 273s and getting some 373s for my A4. I just want to know if there is anyone who regrets getting gears, although I doubt there will be.

I've never head a complaint, unless it's about gas mileage.

Everyone seems to like the upgrade, most complaints are just on how they've done it.

If you are going to a 3.42, swapping whole rear ends is the way to go, but since yer going to a 3.73 you will have to swap the gears and not just a rear.

Pretty much the only thing that will make you regret it is the wrong exhaust setup. The mileage penalty is worth considering but is a fair trade off.

Try dropping your car into 3rd and running at the RPM you'll be cruising at in 4th with the new gears. See if the noise drives you nuts. If it does then you should take that to heart.
