Default Driveline slack

I just installed a new FLP IV tranny and moser 12 bolt and I have a ton of driveline slack. It is really innoying and I am sure it is not good. Is it from the rearend or the tranny, and how can I fix it. Or is it normal

Me too. I have about 75 miles on my FLP tranny now but, it's not the tranny, it's the increased line pressure accentuating the symptoms of slack in the drivetrain. When my old stock tranny would slip into limp mode on occassion (max line pressure), I got the same thing popping etc. Mine isn't really annoying or anything but I don't have a 12 bolt...yet..... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

So it is actually the tranny and the rear end is amplifying it?

No, you said it backwards. Its the sum of all the tolerances between the tranny, the driveshaft and the rearend...higher line pressure makes you feel it.

With the engine off and tranny in park. Grab the driveshaft and see how far you can turn it, either direction. They all turn a tiny bit, shouldn't be much though.

I think this is just the nature of the beast..

I have tried turning the driveshaft and it moves quite a bit, but if it is the nature of the beast I guess I will just live with it

i tried grabbing driveshaft on my car and it moves a 1/4 inch eithier way till it stops and i can feel it pushing against gear inside the tranny or by the diff when i can feel the gears mesh and want to push the tires.
