Motive Gear Question/Problem
Over the last few days I have noticed a faint, but very noticeable whine usually during highway driving.
Would this indicate that the gears are about to blow through the differential or were they installed incorrectly? Anyone else having problems with Motive? So far, I've heard nothing but good remarks about them.
No problems though - car runs great.
How long have you had the whine, because I had a shop listen to it and they told me my rack and pinion was on the verge of blowing through the diff.
I am guessing from your times you installed the 4.10s..

I went to 3.42's, but I ran the 11.99 with 3.23's, 16" ET Streets, and -600 ft DA. Best with the 3.42's and a taller 26x11.50-15 ET Street in hot weather is a 12.04 @ 111. I'm going to run both tires tomorrow night to see if the shorter 16" Streets will be quicker. I believe they will be, but the weather will be a factor...
Those are some amazing times for the gear setup your using... What other mods?
I guess your run at Kennedale? Ever run Ennis?

Thanks! All my 1/4 times are from Ennis. Ran at HRP once last March - more 12.0's... Super Chevy was the last time I was out at Ennis - about a month ago I guess.
I've got all the bolt-ons - headers, pulley, lid, ported TB, true dual exhaust, HALs, LCA's, SFC's, Torque arm. Stock internal - no juice.
