ST2800 lockup

ST2800 lockup I had a Yank ST2800 installed yesterday. I love it. The car actually has better manners than it did before. It doesn't try to move forward at 15 MPH at idle, and the throttle response is less touchy. And it has a LOT more acceleration.
Today I was driving it around, paying close attention to how it behaved. It seemed to me that the car was more reluctant to lock up in overdrive than it had been before. To get it to lock up under 45 MPH, you have to reeeealy baby it. Is it my imagination? Did it always behave that way, and I just didn't notice?
Just out of curiosity, what kind of gas mileage hit am I going to see in city driving?

Re: ST2800 lockup It should lockup fine. Give it some time to completely break in. You might want to check your fluid level. If it is low the converter will not want to lock up properly and can unlock at will.
You won't see any difference in gas mileage assuming you don't drive the car a lot harder. I only saw 1-2 mpg difference with my converter driving the car quite a bit harder.
